About IQAC-ASIET

The Internal Quality Assurance cell (IQAC) of ASIET is established to ensure a continuous and ongoing process of quality enhancement and quality sustenance in the overall performance of the institution.
The IQAC plays a vital role in implementing Outcome-based Education in the institute. The cell is responsible for developing and implementing a plan for quality assurance in teaching-learning, research, knowledge generation, administration, and audit systems to meet the desired standards set by regulatory and accreditation bodies. The cell strives to promote quality culture in the institution by organizing workshops, seminars, conferences, and training programs for faculty members and staff to facilitate knowledge sharing and improve their teaching and administrative skills.

Mission

•    To ensure continuous enhancement of academic processes, infrastructure, and research facilities to meet the evolving needs of engineering education.
•    To encourage faculty members to engage in research and development activities, industry collaborations, and community outreach programs.
•    To regularly assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching-learning processes and academic outcomes of the college.
•    To promote a culture of quality awareness and improvement among all stakeholders of the college.
•    To adhere to international accreditation standards and guidelines to maintain excellence in engineering education.
•    To establish a student-centric approach to education and bring out the best in every student through personalized mentoring, career guidance, and skill development programs.
•    To foster a spirit of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking among students and faculty members.
•    To uphold ethical and moral values in all institutional activities and ensure transparency and accountability in decision-making processes.
•    To collaborate with industry partners and government agencies to enhance employability skills and career opportunities for students.
•    To ensure sustainable development of the college through efficient resource management and environmental conservation practices.

Objectives and functions

The IQAC in ASIET functions with the objectives contemplated by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council.
They are;

•    Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution
•    Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process
•    Arrangement for feedback response from students, parents, and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes
•    Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education
•    Organization of inter and intra-institutional workshops, seminars on quality-related themes and promotion of quality circles
•    Documentation of the various programs/activities leading to quality improvement
•    Acting as a nodal agency of the Institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including the adoption and dissemination of best practices
•    Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining/enhancing the institutional quality
•    Development of Quality Culture in the institution
•    Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC
