Sandeep O S is a seasoned Mechanical Engineering professional with a decade of experience, currently serving as the Fab Lab Coordinator and Assistant Professor at Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kalady. He is also pursuing his Ph.D. in Metal Additive Manufacturing at NIT Calicut, reflecting his dedication to advancing the field through research.
With an M.Tech in CAD/CAM from VIT University, Sandeep possesses extensive expertise in CAD design software and CNC operations, which he applies in his role as Fab Lab Coordinator, where he fosters an environment of hands-on technological learning and innovation. His research focuses include Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM), post-processing of WAAM, corrosion studies, and material characterization.
Sandeep is also a photography enthusiast and art lover, balancing his technical expertise with creative pursuits. As the Coordinator of the AdiShankara Photography Club, he channels this passion into engaging the student community in artistic expression. His well-rounded interests contribute to his unique profile, adding depth and dynamism to his professional persona.
In addition to his research, Sandeep has participated in over 15 workshops and conferences, staying actively engaged with the latest advancements in his field. His teaching interests include Manufacturing, Additive Manufacturing, Material Science and Metallurgy, Non-Traditional Machining Processes, Micro-Machining, Material Characterization, and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, through which he aims to inspire and equip the next generation of engineers
