Dr. Bobby Mathews C
Professor, Dean PhD programmes

Dr. Bobby Mathews C, has been working as Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at ASIET since December 2020. Currently, He is also the IQAC Head & Dean, Ph.D Programs, ASIET, Kalady.

He also sereve as a Member of Board of Studies (Electronics and Communication Engineering), APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Kerala.

Dr. Bobby holds a Ph.D degree from Cochin University of Science & Technology, Kerala. He did his masters from the same university in Optoelectronics and Laser Technology in the year 2005. He completed his Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Kerala University in 1997. 

His research interest is in the fields of Photonics, Fiber Optics, Sensors, Internet of Things, Networks, and Wireless Communication Systems. With more than 25 years of teaching experience, Dr. Bobby has organized several expert talks and workshops/training programs for the student community as well as faculty members. He has been serving as reviewer/chair of sessions in several international/national conferences of high repute. He has also published more than 30 research articles in reputed international/national journals/conferences.

He is also a life time member of ISTE, India, Photonics Society of India and Energy Conservation Society, India.

Development of Optical Fiber based devices for Sensing Applications” (DOFISA), UGC-UKIERI (UK - India Education and Research Initiative) Thematic Partnership Proposal, funded by UKIREI - A collaborative project with Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, Scotland, UK, International School of Photonics (ISP), CUSAT and Uni. Of Kerala. As a member of the project, visited two Scottish Universities; Robert Gordon University and University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, Scotland, U K and carried out experimental and other research works.  Theoretical and experimental research activities were also done at ISP, CUSAT, as part of this project.
