Dr. VINAY VARGHESE is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering Department, where he has served since 02/03/2022. He obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering from UNIVERSITY OF KERALA in 2011, followed by a Master's degree (M.Tech) in CAD/CAM from VIT VELLORE in 2014. He obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), SURATHKAL in 2019. He also worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow at IIT BOMBAY for two years (Feb 2020-2022).
Dr. VINAY VARGHESE’s research interests are focused on Cryogenic Machining, PVD coatings, micromachining, hybrid manufacturing, Additive manufacturing, optimisation etc. He has shared his expertise by publishing 15 research papers in various International journals and Conferences. Dr. VINAY VARGHESE has a wealth of experience in teaching, research & industry having devoted 5 years to educating students. He has attended a summer internship program at Kumamoto University, Japan. He organised a three day Faculty Development (FDP) program funded by Kerala Technological University (KTU). His research proposal was shortlisted for funding from KTU under RSM, CERD student project grant. He is an authorised Guide for Ph.D. programmes under KTU.
