Chinnu Maria Varghese is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering with over 8 years of professional experience in higher education, school education, and the IT industry. She holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering & Technology, a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from Christ Knowledge City, and a Diploma in Computer Hardware Maintenance. Throughout her career, she has taught undergraduate and school-level courses in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information and Communication Technology , Python Programming, Data Structures, Database Management Systems, and emerging computing technologies.

She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. with research focused on the application of Computer Vision and Deep Learning in Agriculture, particularly for intelligent crop disease detection, precision agriculture, and image-based plant health analysis. Her broader research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Data Science.

She has presented and published research papers at international conferences and actively participates in academic and research activities. She is passionate about integrating modern AI technologies into teaching and research, fostering innovation, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving among students. She is also committed to outcome-based education, interdisciplinary collaboration, and developing intelligent solutions to address real-world challenges in agriculture and society.
