The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kalady  is organizing KTU sponsored FDP on "ML and DL applications in Computer Vision" during 30th January  to 3rd February 2023.

The automatic analysis and understanding of images and videos, a field called Computer Vision, occupies significant importance in applications including security, healthcare, entertainment, mobility, etc. The recent success of deep learning methods has revolutionized the field of computer vision, making new developments increasingly closer to deployment that benefits end users. This FDP will introduce the participants to traditional computer vision topics, before presenting deep learning methods for computer vision. The course will cover basics as well as recent advancements in these areas, which will help the participant learn the basics as well as become proficient in applying these methods to real-world applications.

Leading experts from industry and academicians working in specific areas as mentioned in the course contents will be handling the sessions.Certificates will be issued to all the participants who have attended the program with minimum 80% attendance and submitted the feedback forms at the end of each session.

Course Objectives

Identify basic concepts, terminology, theories, models and methods in the field of computer vision.

Learn the concepts of image processing, computer vision and utilize these techniques to implement vision algorithms efficiently for use in research or industry.
