The Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering & Technology was founded in Kalady with the intention of offering value-added technical education that inculcates in the student professional excellence and ethical values. The institution is managed by the Adi Sankara Trust, a registered organisation which has made a name for itself in the field of education. For more than 50 years, the trust has successfully run different types of educational institutions.
The college, which was founded in 2001 and skilfully maintained by the Sringeri Mutt with the benign blessings of His Holiness Sri Sri Bharathi Tirtha Mahaswamiji, is committed to maintaining a proactive approach to ensure the students' holistic development.
Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering & Technology (ASIET) is well ideally situated in a picturesque environment that evokes vivid memories of Jagadguru Adi Shankara's calm presence. It is affiliated to the A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University, approved by the AICTE and offers courses in UG, PG and PhD levels. Four of their streams are NBA accredited (CSE, ECE, EEE & ME) which shows its commitment to quality systems.
ASIET was the first self-financing technical education centre in Kerala to be awarded the ISO 9001: 2008 certification. Located just 5 km from Kochi international airport, it is easily accessible by train (6 Kilometres from the Angamaly railway station) and by road (Just one kilometre from the arterial MC Road) Ninteen batches of B.Tech students have passed out from this temple of education to date and they occupy responsible positions in prestigious organizations in India and abroad.

The reigns of the Trust are with Guruseva Dhurina Padmasree Dr. V. R. Gowrishankar, who is the CEO & Administrator of the Sri Sarada Peetham, Sringeri in the Chickmagalur district of Karnataka.
Sri K. Anand a well-respected advocate is the Managing Trustee, and is fully committed to the overall development of the college.
A team of highly qualified and dedicated faculty, under the direct supervision of the Principal, Dr. M S Murali works untiringly for the betterment of students in all respects. With his wide experience in teaching and administration, he sets very high standards for the Institute.

Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering & Technology was started in the year 2001 with the benign blessings of His Holiness Sri Sri Bharathi Thirtha Mahaswamiji of Sringeri Mutt.The institute strives to provide value added technical education, professional excellence and commitment to society.
Initially the institute began its function with four undergraduate courses and an intake of 180 students.In 2004, the School of Management studies commenced with an intake of 60 students and offering specialization in Marketing Management, Human Resource Management, Financial Management and International Business. The institute also offers electives in contemporary areas of management studies like business analytics, logistics, entrepreneurship management, digital marketing, marketing management, human resource management, financial management and international business. In 2010, post graduate courses were also begun.
ASIET leaps forward with highly motivated faculty members who are interested in making significant changes in the educational sector and generating socially responsible professionals. Today, the institution has secured accreditations from several professional agencies like the NBA. Currently students from many foreign countries take courses from Adi Shankara through its course delivery agencies.
