Alumni of ASIET is having a strong relationship with our College. They have been a source of strength to ASIET as they are the ones who spread the name of our institution far and wide as a centre of excellence.The Alumni Association of Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology had a modest beginning in 2005-2006 and registered in 2023. The same year marked the period of standardization in terms of its registration as a trust named Alumni Association of Kalady Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology (AAKASHIEN). AAKASHIEN provides an interface for establishing a link between the alumni, staff, and students. ASIET alumni are currently working at various positions around the globe,proving their spirit in all spheres of management .The alumni meet with large participation was held yearly in the college on April/May. Started the decennial celebration in 2019, for 2005,2006,2007,2008,2009 pass out batch, at Marriott Kochi in June 2019. The second decennial celebration for 2010, 2011, and 2012 Pass out batches were conducted on July 2022 at Crowne Plaza Kochi. The members of AAKASHIEN stay connected through Whatsapp and Facebook.

Financial Contributions
The Alumni have created a corpus fund of Rs.50 lakhs, the interest of which is being utilized for various activities in the college. The Alumni Association initiated a Scholarship programme, under which selected projects will be awarded Rs.30000/year and will be mentored by Alumni, which will be beneficial to all department students. During the flood of 2018, Alumni supported the ASIET students by giving 3 lakhs rupees. Alumni donated 10 Lakhs for a Centralized research lab facility in 2022. For Tech Fest Brahma and Hackathon Alumni Contributed 3 Lakhs rupees.

Non-financial Contributions

  • Associating with Project works:-Alumni are resources for students who are looking to gain practical experience and develop skills through internships and projects.

  • Placement & Career Guidance Assistance: - Alumni share their insights into the industry and job market, provide tips and advice on how to succeed in the recruiting process, and make introductions that may lead to a career change.

  • Entrepreneurship Awareness:- Bringing established entrepreneurs back to campus to share their stories and challenges with current students.

  • Bridging Industry-Academia gap:- The institute has a robust alumni feedback system that gathers alumni's opinions and challenges regarding the industry-academic gap.

  • Summer Internship – Students can benefit from alumni involvement in helping them find internships.

  • Contributing Text books/Study materials:-Books provide access to knowledge, ideas and information that can help individuals learn and grow.

  • Motivation and Knowledge sharing sessions:- Expert talk by Alumni will give opportunity to learn about emerging trends and technologies in their field and gain practical insights into how to prepare for a career in that industry which include providing support for preparing industry-ready professionals , entrepreneurs in the industry, sharing network opportunities.

  • Mentorship: Alumni can play an active role in voluntary programs, like mentoring students in their areas of expertise. To utilize the rich experiences of old students of the college's for the benefit and assist the students in securing suitable jobs.

  • Promoting Institute Events: Alumni use social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to promote institutional events via  posts, hashtags.
