The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology Kalady is organizing a FDP on "Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Manufacturing" during 18th to 20th January 2023.
The main objective of the FDP is to get an insight into artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine learning(ML) in manufacturing. Manufacturing is one of the main beneficiaries of AI and ML and can result in increased efficiency, product quality, worker safety and minimal cost. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are some of the main attributes of fourth industry revolution.
Industry 4.0 is the intelligent networking of machines and processes using the current technologies like Artificial Intelligence, machine Learning, Internet of Things(IoT), cloud computing, big data robotics and automation to create smart factories which can cater the growing demands of society. Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will help to optimise the productivity of the individual assets as well as manufacturing operations by applying the advanced analytics to industrial data.
The current FDP is targeting the a wider audience of faculties and researchers who are working in the area of Artificial Intelligence(AI), machine Learning, Digital Manufacturing, industry 4.0 and Internet of Things(IoT), robotics and automation. It is expected that, this FDP will help to understand the basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence(AI),Machine Learning(ML), smart manufacturing and industry 4.0 and promote attendees to carry out research in this area.
The following are the objectives of the FDP:
To gain basic understanding about Artificial Intelligence,Machine Learning and industry 4.0 practises in manufacturing.
To promote research and innovation, bridge the gap between academia and industry.
