The Add-On Certificate Programme on Electronic Product Building, organized by the Department of Electronics & Biomedical Engineering at ASIET, was conducted from 29th August to 2nd September 2024. The 5-day immersive experience aimed to equip participants with practical skills in electronic product development. The course covered key areas such as electronic circuit design, component selection, circuit simulation using Dip Trace software, and optimization techniques. Participants engaged in hands-on PCB fabrication, gaining insights into the entire process from design to final product, including soldering, component placement, testing, and troubleshooting. The sessions were led by Mr. Antu Dominic, Chief Technical Officer at Truetek World, Angamaly, and Ms. Tresa Joseph, Assistant Professor (Dept. of EBE). Mr. Dominic conducted sessions on product circuit design, PCB fabrication, and troubleshooting, while Ms. Joseph handled the session on digital design using Verilog HDL. The programme concluded with a project session, providing students with comprehensive experience in creating functional electronic products. The course objectives included developing skills in electronic circuit design, simulation, optimization, and hands-on PCB fabrication.
