The Department of Electronics and Biomedical Engineering at Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology (ASIET), Kalady, in association with the Telemedicine Society of India (Kerala Chapter), organized a 1-Day International Seminar on “Light to Life: Translational Biophotonics in Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, and Beyond” on 19th July 2025 at the Main Seminar Hall, ASIET. The event featured eminent speakers including Dr. Babu Varghese, Senior Scientist and Product Owner at Royal Philips, Netherlands; Dr. Gopal S. Pillai, Clinical Professor and Head at AIMS Kochi; and Mr. Manikandan S, Regional Sales Manager, Philips India (South). The seminar highlighted the transformative role of biophotonics and light-based technologies in modern healthcare, offering valuable insights into their clinical and industrial applications. The session served as an excellent platform for students, faculty, and professionals to engage with global experts and explore emerging innovations in biomedical engineering.
