
The Department of Electronics and Biomedical Engineering at Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, in association with EBSAA and the Biomedical Engineering Society of India (BMESI), successfully organized MEDINOVA 25, an annual B-Tech Project Competition on Innovations in Medical Technology and Healthcare, providing a platform for Diploma and B.Tech students to showcase innovative prototypes, proof of concepts, and solutions in medical devices, diagnostics, digital health, and biomedical engineering. The event focused on key areas such as medical instrumentation, wearable and point-of-care technologies, assistive and rehabilitation technologies, and AI & IoT solutions in healthcare, encouraging students to develop impactful projects addressing real-world healthcare challenges. The competition was open to Diploma students (Track 1) and B.Tech students (Track 2), allowing individual and team participation (up to four members), with registration opening on 20th March 2025, submission deadline on 3rd April 2025, and final presentation on 5th April 2025. Participants had the opportunity to win cash prizes and certificates worth ₹10,000, gain mentorship from industry experts, and explore collaboration and incubation opportunities. The final presentations were judged by esteemed experts from academia and the healthcare industry, ensuring a fair and insightful evaluation, and the event was successfully coordinated by student coordinators Mr. Abhijith R and Ms. Jinusree M.
