Dr. Deepa Sankar
HOD & Associate Professor

Dr. Deepa Sankar is the HOD and Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, where she has served since 17/04/2006. She received her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology in 2022. She obtained her B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Pondicherry University in 2004 and her M.Tech in Power Electronics and Drives from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences in 2006. She has published 20 papers which include 3 papers in SCI-indexed journals, 2 papers in Scopus-indexed journals, and 15 papers in IEEE and other reputed International Conferences.

She is a reviewer of IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, The International Journal of Power and Energy Systems, and Recent Advances in Electrical and Electronics. Her research interests include Power Electronic Converters for Renewable energy, Digital control of power electronic converters, and Modeling and designing power electronic converters. She also holds the position of IEEE- Industrial Applications Society chapter advisor at Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kalady. She has participated in various hands-on training, workshops, seminars, conferences, and Faculty Development Programs. She has also received Elite certifications for various MOOC courses through NPTEL.
