Mr. Amal Pavithran is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Science and Humanities at Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, where he has been serving since July 22, 2024. He has over 8 years of teaching experience in Mathematics, having begun his academic career in 2015.
He holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from St. Paul’s College Kalamasery (2012) and an M.Sc. in Mathematics from The Cochin College (2015). He also obtained an M.Phil. in Mathematics from Bharathidasan University and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mathematics at Mahatma Gandhi University.
His research interests include stochastic processes, queueing theory, inventory systems, and customer migration in queueing models. He has actively participated in more than ten national and international seminars and workshops. Notably, he attended the Third International Workshop on Stochastic Modelling and Applied Research in Technology, organized by the Institute of Applied Mathematical Research at the Karelian Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences in August 2022.
Mr. Pavithran has also contributed significantly to curriculum development, including participation in the MGU UGP 2024 syllabus revision, PGCSS 2019 syllabus revision committee under Mahatma Gandhi University, and development of First, Third, and Fourth semester syllabi for APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University during 2016 at LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Thiruvananthapuram.
