Amal Pavithran
Amal Pavithran
Asst.Professor (Pursuing PhD)

Mr. Amal Pavithran serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Science and
Humanities, where he has been contributing since July 22, 2024. He holds a B.Sc. in
Mathematics from St. Pauls College, Kalamasery, Kerala (2012), and a Master's degree in
Mathematics from The Cochin College, Cochin-02, Kerala (2015). He further advanced his
academic qualifications by obtaining an M.Phil. in Mathematics from Bharathidasan
University. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD in Mathematics at Mahatma Gandhi University,
Kottayam, Kerala.Mr. Amal Pavithran’s research interests lie in stochastic processes,
queueing inventory, and customer migration in queues. Since beginning his teaching career in
2015, he has accumulated eight years of experience and has actively engaged in more than
ten national and international seminars. Notably, in August 2022, he participated in the Third
International Workshop on Stochastic Modelling and Applied Research in Technology, hosted
by the Institute of Applied Mathematical Research at the Karelian Research Centre of the
Russian Academy of Science.In addition to his teaching and research, Mr. Amal Pavithran
has made significant contributions to curriculum development. He was involved in the MGU
UGP 2024 syllabus revision, the PGCSS 2019 syllabus revision committee under MG
University, Kottayam, Kerala, and contributed to the creation of the First, Third, and Fourth
Semester syllabi for KTU in 2016 at LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Poojappura,
Thiruvananthapuram.
