Dr. Sivaprasad P V is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering Technology (ASIET), Kalady, with a distinguished career spanning academia, research, and industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Production Engineering from NIT Tiruchirappalli, an M.Tech in Manufacturing Engineering from NIAMT Ranchi, and an Associate Membership in Mechanical Engineering from The Institution of Engineers (India). With over four years of teaching experience and five years of research expertise, complemented by one year of industrial experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at M/s Midwest Granite Pvt. Ltd., Andhra Pradesh, Dr. Sivaprasad brings a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical insight to his role. His scholarly contributions include six international research publications and presentations at three global conferences.
Currently, Dr. Sivaprasad's research focuses on sustainable materials for biomedical implants using additive manufacturing, micromachining of superalloys, and optimization of unconventional machining processes. He has secured a three-year Research Seed Money (RSM) grant from KTU to develop bio-compatible materials for 3D-printed medical implants. His teaching interests encompass Sustainable Manufacturing, Automobile Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, Material Science and Metallurgy, Non-Traditional Machining Processes, and Micro-Machining. Committed to continuous professional development, he actively participates in faculty training programs and workshops, ensuring his teaching methodologies remain at the forefront of engineering education. Through his interdisciplinary approach, Dr. Sivaprasad is dedicated to advancing innovative manufacturing solutions while mentoring future engineers.
