Dr. Akhila Das is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Basic Science and Humanities with expertise in Chemistry, electrochemistry, polymer science, and energy storage materials. She served as an Assistant Professor in Chemistry (Guest Lecturer) at Christ College Irinjalakuda during 2024–2025 and has experience teaching laboratory courses in chemistry and polymer synthesis for engineering students.
She currently works as a Subject Matter Expert in Chemistry with Chegg India. Her research interests include polymer electrolytes, sodium-ion batteries, magnesium-ion batteries, and advanced materials for sustainable energy storage. She has hands-on experience with various analytical and characterization techniques, including electrochemical analysis, FTIR spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and mechanical testing.
Her research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of composite polymer electrolytes and the fabrication of battery systems for electrochemical performance evaluation, contributing to the development of next-generation energy storage technologies.
