Mr. Kiran Philip Isaac
Assistant Professor

Mr. Kiran Philip Isaac has been serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Biomedical Engineering since July 2026. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. He holds an M.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering from IIT Madras, an MBA in Health Care Services from Sikkim Manipal University, and a B.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering from Sathyabama University. With over 17 years of combined teaching and research experience in Biomedical Engineering, his previous academic experience includes serving as an Assistant Professor at TKM Institute of Technology and Sahrdaya College of Engineering & Technology, alongside working as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Madras.


His primary research interests are in Biophotonics, Microbiological Studies, Biomedical Instrumentation, and Biomedical Signal Processing.

He was awarded second prize in the 3-Minute Thesis Competition at IIT Madras, received a project grant from the Kerala Startup Mission for a robotic mobilization device, and was recognized as a Top-Performing NPTEL Mentor. Additionally, he served as an evaluator for the Young Innovators Programme and Toycathon. He has actively participated in numerous Faculty Development Programmes, short-term training programs, and workshops conducted by institutions including IIT Bombay and IIT Madras. He has actively guided various undergraduate and postgraduate student projects and research initiatives.
