Assistant Professor

Ms. Hasna Hameed is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology (ASIET), Kalady. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she is associated with the Centre for AI-IoT Innovation as a Project Associate. The Centre, supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, is dedicated to research, innovation, and technology development in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and intelligent embedded systems.

She completed her M.Tech in Communication Engineering from Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology (ASIET), Kalady, affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), and her B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Viswajyothi College of Engineering and Technology, Vazhakulam.

With research experience in AI-enabled IoT, Ms. Hasna has actively contributed to the development of intelligent solutions for environmental monitoring, smart water management, and predictive analytics. Her research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Explainable Artificial Intelligence, and intelligent sensing technologies.

Ms. Hasna Hameed has published a research paper titled "An IoT-based System for Health Monitoring and Surveillance in Post-COVID Life", presented at the Third International Conference on Materials, Computing & Communication Technologies(ICMCCT).The paper received the Best Paper Award in recognition of its contribution to IoT-based healthcare monitoring.

She is currently working on another research manuscript for submission to an international conference. Her research focuses on developing intelligent and sustainable solutions for healthcare, environmental monitoring, and smart infrastructure through the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things technologies.

Ms. Hasna Hameed served as a Resource Person for a Six-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Intelligent Sensor-IoT Frameworks Using Advanced Materials for Industrial and Urban Applications," organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology (ASIET), in association with the Centre for AI-IoT Innovation, funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. During the programme, she delivered expert sessions on "Applying Machine Learning Models to Sensor Datasets" and "Anomaly Detection Using Real Sensor Data," providing participants with practical insights into AI-driven data analysis, predictive modelling, and intelligent sensor applications.
